Deciding to Blog

I am not a blogger. Except for my friend Lexi's blog, and of course Nienie's - whom I had the good fortune of knowing as my Young Women teacher about eight years ago - I don't even read blogs. I neither have the time nor the general desire that goes along with blogging.Then I learned that almost all of my friend's have blogs and I felt a little out of the loop... okay, so not really... but, maybe a tad.

It would be misleading to say that I will blog about daily occurrences, because chances are that I won't. However, I have recently been interested in the idea of documenting the tasty creations I make. I have never taken a picture of any food or dessert I've prepared, for the sole reason that I didn't think anyone would really care, but after an experience I had Easter weekend with some family members falling in love with a cake I made, I had a change of heart. And although I had a nagging feeling to photograph the cake I made, because... well, let's face it... it was pretty outstanding... I didn't, and I am afraid that I regret that decision. 

So, I made another decision. I thought to myself, hey - maybe I can do this blogging thing and show people what I can do. Perhaps I'll even let my mom guest star on this blog from time to time, as she is the one who really shines in the candy-making department ;)

Now that summer is coming up, I expect that I will have plenty of time to try out all of the recipes I have been saving up all school year :)
